Another challenge card!

This is something different for me, and I found it quite difficult! A CAS card, no ribbons, buttons or bows. Simply stamped the image, Bella with Flowers from Wild Rose Studio, onto plain card, and coloured with Promarkers, added a little bit of Stickles. Made square card blank with Snow White Silkweave card,  from Handy Hippo, and matted the image onto it. Printed sentiment, and...done!

Entered into Less is More challenge - Sketch.

Challenges!

Well, challenges? lets start with the weather, it's flippin' awful here! So, camera now fixed, and a few cards finished, so thought I might have a go at a couple of challenges. The first one is Bella with Flowers. Die-cut a card blank from Centura Pearl card, then a mat from silver mirri, then a mat from floral paper ("Bella" papers from Wild Rose Studio, as is the image stamp) Punched a strip with a Martha Stewart die, and stamped the image onto a Nestie die-cut. Coloured image with Promarkers, and assembled. Stamped sentiment (LOTV) and matted onto paper flowers. Finished with ribbon and gems.
Entered into Passion for Promarkers - "Cut it out"
and Pretty Little Ribbon Shop - "To die for"

Poorly camera! and Nice Teeth!!

Hello everyone
Thought I'd better pop on and say hello. Have been busy making and experimenting, but on Sunday evening when I tried to take photos, my camera was poorly! By process of elimination, found that it was the lens, so have been waiting for a replacement, which has now arrived. So hopefully will put a couple of cards on shortly. Meanwhile, hope no-one has been flooded out. Absolutely horrendous rain here, as in lots of other places, everyone and everything covered in mud! But......the horses will be pleased I guess, as at least the grass will grow. Meanwhile, I've tried to keep them amused with swedes!
Ah well, keep smiling. Back soon. x

Playing with Craft Artist!

Hi
Hope everyone is okay, horrible weather we've been having, the horses are totally cheesed off! So, I've been playing with Craft Artist, No. 1 son wanted a card for his partner, so this is what I came up with. He came over, and brought the kitten with him, and this is one of the photos that I took. Fitted in really well!
And this card is his birthday card, he competes in Motocross! Quite pleased with the way they turned out, need to play more!  Keep smiling. x

Definitely a Different Colour!

Hello, well, I've been determined not to use the same colours again! and wanted to enter a couple of challenges, and this is where I ended up! Not very springlike colours, but maybe that's because we're not having very springlike weather. I've always found red to be a nice, warm, comforting colour, so maybe that's it. Anyway, I'm going to enter this one in two challenges, Lili's Little Fairies -Diamonds and Pearls, and Totally Gorjuss - Bling!
Printed image, Maisie, from Lili of the Valley, I just love her, onto card, and coloured with promarkers. Cut shape with Nestie, and larger mat in rainbow shimmer card, then larger still in white again. Matted all together. Cut a border from embossed cardstock, punched the edges, double on one side, and attached two different ribbons. Used two different backing papers, red dotty and red tartan, and matted everything together. Made flower from, I think it's an x-cut die, and flourishes are from a Marianne flower die. Stamped and decorated sentiment, and finished with twinkles, stickles, ribbon, "diamonds and pearls." x

Angelina!

Hi, well, I think I've caught up a little, and have finished a couple of cards that were hiding in the drawer! Thought I'd enter this one in the Wild Orchid Challenge. Cut a shaped card blank with Grand Nestie, stamped image -"Angelina with Balloons" by Stamping Bella, and coloured with promarkers. Matted onto rainbow shimmer card. Cut a border, threaded satin ribbon through, matted onto patterned papers, bottom stripey from stash, floral is from Henbury Lane. Finished with sentiment, and flowers and hatpin from Wild Orchid Crafts. Have an idea I need to go and play with, so, back later. Big hugs. x

Just about finished!

Well, I've just about finished re-doing all my stamps. All are now neat and tidy in binders, just have to finish the cross-referencing catalogue! Also had grandson Oscar for the weekend, so no new card as yet. Hope everyone has had a good weekend, oh, did however, win the voucher in the Little Lili's Fairy blog challenge, so delighted with that! Hopefully can get stuck in this evening and see what transpires! Keep smiling. Back soon. x

What a Mess! and Here's Two I Made Earlier!

No, not a card, not this time, anyway! Decided yesterday afternoon, after a new Gorguss stamp arrived! that my stamp collection needed re-organizing. Shouldn't take long, I thought, and set to. SIX hours later, still had stamps all over the bed, not good for sleeping, and no order whatsoever. Finally gave up at 3am and crawled into bed. Obviously have far too many stamps!! Still have I reckon, about another two hours to go, but hopefully will be a lot better, although still don't seem to have a sensible order? Have a binder for Sentiments, and a binder for Magical and Mystical, but have kept the rest in sets, and they have sentiments too, so...? themes?  designers? any ideas please?...

Okay, a while back I put a fairy card on, "Keeper of Hearth and Home" by Carmen Medlin. I actually stamped three images at the same time, as she had good hair to practice on! I finished the other two cards a few days ago, but didn't put them on, so here they are.

Also, last but definitely not least! have grandson Oscar for the weekend, while mummy attends a wedding in the Lakes-lucky girl! So not as much time for crafting, unless I stay up all night! See what I can do, get dithery if I don't get my fix! Back soon. Keep smiling. x

WV - A quick update!

Hello all
Okay, Ann very kindly pointed out that I have (now had!) Word Verification on my blog, which makes it really difficult and time consuming to comment, as I know from others' blogs that I've been on. Have to say not too techie, and didn't realize that I had it. Ann kindly gave instructions, and it's now Gone! So should make it easier to comment. All comments are appreciated, even constructive criticism, for someone else may see or suggest something that makes all the difference, so feel free!
Gosh, had such a busy day yesterday, so today am going to catch up, and do some blog hopping of my own, really looking forward to seeing everyone's lovely creations. Thanks to everyone who's been to see me and commented, it's very much appreciated, and really does give you a boost. Also need to catch up with "the forum" and see what I've been missing.
Will also be  back later with something! have Oscar until lunchtime, so hopefully this afternoon. Have a lovely day girls, and boys! and stay crafty! Keep smiling. x

Gorjuss challenge!

Hi
Made this for the Totally Gorguss challenge - It's a Sketch. Started off with a completely different one, and then wasn't happy with it, so started again! So - stamped image (Lily of the Valley - Summer-Daydream) and coloured with promarkers, die-cut with a Nestie and glittered the edges. Made a dark brown card blank (card from Mandarin) onto that matted check paper, then a plain co-ordinating strip. White textured strip is a piece from an M-bossibilitites folder. Edges inked with T.H. Distress Ink. Stamped sentiment, and assembled everything. Finished with two-colour ribbon bow (ribbon from Joanna Sheen),hatpin, and small pearls (again from J.S.) Made flower embelly (flowers from Wild Orchid) and tiny die-cut butterfly. Yet another card using the same colours, obviously my "thing" at the moment, see what presents itself next! All for now. Keep smiling. x

Oops - thank you!

Well, with the excitement of Harry arriving, I almost forgot to put the thank-you card for Mandarin Card Craft on. As I said before, it's to say thank you for the lovely goody box I won in their Prize Draw.
Embossed two side panels on a piece of Perfect Image card stock from M, and punched the edges with a Martha Stewart punch. Die cut butterfly (Marianne die ) from same cardstock, made backing butterfly with piece of vellum from stash. Inked edge of panel and butterfly with T,H. Distress Ink. Teal paper strip is Fleur-de-Lys by M, matted onto pearlescent card, again from M. Stamped a small thank you border around edge. Stamped and embossed sentiment,(from Joanna Sheen Wordy stamps - Set 3) and outlined with gold border. Attached brown organza ribbon to top of panel, again from J.S. Matted everything together, and onto dark brown cardstock, again from M. Finished with button from grans' button box, ribbon bows (ribbon from J.S.) with brad from stash. Clear drops from Polkadoodles, butterflys' body from Flowersoft, and tiny gems on antennae. Righty-oh, night night, see you soon. x

Welcome Harry Peter!

Well, he's arrived at last! Some Easter present huh? Baby Harry Peter, born Saturday 7th April, at 8.29pm, weighing 8lb 14oz. Daddy thrilled, mummy exhausted but elated, brother and sister quite pleased, for now anyway, and Nannie chuffed to bits! The other picture! is a card I'm entering into Lilli's little fairies challenge - Ribbon, buttons and bows.
We have two weddings this year, so have made a few cards up to now. Absolutely love this image. Stamped image, coloured with promarkers, highlighted tiara and horses' hooves with Crystal laquer, matted onto metallic swirly card, and onto floral paper. Stitched around edges. Attached white guipuire lace with satin ribbon threaded through. Made bow with gold edged organza ribbon from stash, pleated the end and attached across card, added two pearl buttons from gran's button box. Stamped and embossed sentiment and banner, attached small pearls, cut out and attached with foam pads. Back soon. Keep smiling. x

Sons' Birthday Card

I'm going to enter this card in the "It's a Man's World" challenge at Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog. This is a card that I made for my youngest son, who is a bus driver. Embossed paper strip, and inked with Tim Holtz distress ink. Embellie made with shrink plastic, added sentiments and "tool" brads. Am just finishing a Thank You card for Mandarin, for my lovely prize! See you later. x

Lovely goodies arrived! and Fairy Card

Well, 9am. this morning, the postman brought my prize from Mandarin. Lovely selection of cardstock, and card products, some tape, some sticky pads, lovely papers, and other stash. Just my cup of tea as I like to start from scratch, and do everything myself. Excellent quality too, so shall post on here when I've made a card with it. On a similar theme...well, sort of.... I don't advertise for the sake of it, only for a special reason, and I have my favourites, who I stick with, but....just want to give a special mention to Cardcraft-uk. I've used them from the start, and without fail, their customer service is second to none, well, let's say they're on a level with my "other favourite place" and their delivery service is incredible. Every single order has been despatched the day after at the latest, and most have been despatched the same day, and they've just surpassed themselves. Placed an order for something that my "other" site doesn't sell, and it was despatched 30 MINUTES later!! Now I think that's super-efficient, (and it's free P&P) So between them my two fav. sites have it covered. Okay, todays' card is a fairy image,(back to my favourite thing!)  Keeper of Hearth and Home-by Carmen Medlin. Cut and embossed card from Centura pearl cardstock, stamped image and coloured with promarkers, matted onto rainbow shimmer card, then onto paper from Midnight Fairytale, sentiment also. Finished with ultra-fine glitter to wings and dress, stickles, and a few gems. Both bows, big and small, with ribbon from Joanna Sheen. Sorry the photo doesn't do it justice, it's lost a lot of the detail, because of reflection. Back soon, keep smiling. x

Hello again - and guess what? - I'm a Winner!!

Sorry haven't been on for a couple of days. Think Katys' house move wiped me out, and I ended up Sunday/Monday with a migraine!! not pleasant, as anyone who suffers will confirm. However, am up and running again now, and Soo excited! Had notification yesterday that I'd won a competition draw that I'd entered at Mandarin Card Craft...(find them at http://www.mandarincardcraft.com/) They sell beautiful top quality card stock, and blanks, and papers, and bling, and....oh, you need to take a look. Anyway, they're sending me a Goody Box and it will arrive tomorrow, so can't wait.... ! Other than that have Oscar all week, as it's Easter holidays, but that's no problem, love him to bits, and come September, when he starts school...won't see half as much of him....oh, where does the time fly to?  Enjoy him while I can, and other Grandson who will be over soon, and, hopefully! New Baby, who, No, still hasn't arrived!  Think he knows the weather's changed again. Okay, this is a card that I made for my God-daughters' engagement, part digi, then embellished. Really enjoyed doing it. All for now. Keep smiling. x
