Tribute to Wincy xx

Hello everyone
Well, have had a rotten few days. Poor Winston was put to sleep yesterday, very peacefully, on my knee. So hopefully he's running free, and happy now. So am now trying to catch up, on sleep! and everything else. I'm going to put a few photos up, a little "Wincy" collage, and hopefully finish a couple of crafty things that I started. Hope everyone is coping with the weather, our village is okay, but it's pretty bad round and about. Back soon. Hugs to all. X

Very poorly cat!

Hi
Just a quick one. Haven't done hardly anything the last few days. One of my cats is very poorly, problem with his nervous system, and I'm guessing that Monday may be the day. So not good at the moment, but, he's 16, and hopefully he's had a good life. That doesn't make it any easier, but we have to deal with these things if we love our animals. So, will try and get a couple of hours crafting in, for stress relief! Love to all.

Still More Mud!!

Hello All
Not a lot to say this week, other than still sliding around in the mud! Really awful, however, I know I'm not the only one, but it does get you down. Anyway, as for cards, nothing to put on as yet, as I have a few half finished. Started a few more Christmas cards, will post them when they're finished. Am also finishing off a mini-book to use as a diary/journal, so will get that sorted. Hope you're all getting organized for Christmas. I don't have much to do these days, as my children are all grown up, with their own families, and it's difficult to get away because of the animals. Never mind. Okay, shall go and see if it's still raining, and then see if I can get something finished. Keep smiling.

Getting busier!

Grr-mud, mud and more mud. Winter is soo not a good time with horses. Although riding, that's assuming you manage to get the layers of mud and muck off them enough to actually get yourself on, is much better. No flies! Although I'm still plagued with midges, at this time of year! Anyway, enough of that. I've been playing a little with Christmas cards, so will see what you think.

Okay, made an A6 card, and stamped a border with snowflake stamps. Die-cut a few different tags, and cut out the dark blue mats. Used one of my favourite stamps - 'Fantasy' by Penny Black. Stamped and embossed four with slightly different embossing powders. Mounted them onto slightly different backgrounds, i.e. white sparkle, rainbow shimmer, silver mirri etc. Then stamped and embossed the sentiments onto the tags. Finished them with slightly different trims and ribbons. Then did almost the same thing, but with the cards in landscape, rather than portrait. Quite pleased with them. Okay, that's all for now, back to the mud and muck, I guess!
Big hugs to all.

Playing with Windows!

Decided to have a play with a different size, and style of card. The hydrangea stamp, on the blue card,  I've wanted to use for a while, and coloured it with promarkers. On the pink card I've used photos. Mine are the butterflies, and my son took the grasshopper. The images on the fronts of both cards are printed onto vellum. I'm part way through a pink and lilac hydrangea card too, although I've used hammered card for these two. I quite liked the way they turned out, although the photos don't do them justice. I also have great trouble putting the cards and the text where I want them, anyone got any tips for this one? Hope everyone is okay, and coping with the colder weather. Back soon. x
