Birthday Card!

Hello everyone,
Apologies, I am still trying to catch up with everyone else's blogs, please bear with me. Okay, this is a birthday card for a friend who, hopefully!, will be 80 on 1st. Nov. Still find cards for men difficult, but he is a gardener, so a little floral spray! Started by making an 8" card blank, and 4 toning mats, mirri, then plain, then patterned, then plain. Inked edges, and cut corners with Martha Steward die. Stamped and cut out sentiments. Then die-cut foliage and flower spray. Stamped the "80", and embossed with copper. Filled the numbers with Beadazzles, then the centres with 3D Crystal Laquer. Assembled it together, added a few gems, and some Stickles! Hopefully he'll be pleased. Oh, and the other one is the card that I made for Evelyns' birthday, to go with the Door Hanger. Hugs to all. x

Question?

Hi again
Anyone know anything about Etsy, good or bad, info. appreciated. Thanks. x

Still Here!

Hello to all,
Well, going okay at the moment. Busy weekend, making a card for an 80th, and had hay delivered for the horses, which is a bit of a pain, 'cause I live in an "odd" place. Wonderful neighbours withe their "truck" did most of the work, bless them, a huge help, very much appreciated. And, managed to avoid the rain, which I find amazing! Well, they say the sun shines on the righteous, guess that must be the horses, not me! Found a couple of cards that I haven't shown, so will put them on for approval! Landrover one was for Katys' partners birthday, obviously a LR fanatic, like me. Sad! The other was a door hanging for my grand-daughter Evelyn, for her 9th birthday. I am trying to catch up with everyone's blogs, please bear with me. Back soon. Stay safe, hugs to all. x

Simpler!

Okay, while I'm still up and running I thought I'd post these. Saw an article in a craft magazine that I really liked. These are my variations on it.

Thought they turned out quite cute! All for the minute.
  Bye for now. x

Lots and lots of apologies!

Hello everyone
Once again I'm back making sincere apologies for disappearing! Thank you so much to those of you who, despite the silence, still keep checking on me. Shameful, but of course I have lots of excuses!! Seriously, I haven't been at all well, today I'm going for an injection to see if that will improve things, I do hope so! Also my PC completely gave up, so now have a reconditioned one, couldn't afford new, I'm afraid. Will have to hope that it lasts a while, at least while I try and catch up with what everyone has been doing! Have only managed to make a few cards whilst absent, but will update blog asap. Hope you're all okay. Back soon.
Hugs to all. X

Me again!

Hello all
Well, things seem to be improving slightly, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Managed to get back on at last, so will try and post a couple of things before I disappear! Just finished a card for a young nephew, and happened across a blog that it's perfect for, so will attempt to enter it. Also will try and post a few cards, ones that I've made just to keep me sane...well! sane as it gets.Hope you're all surviving the horrendous weather, really does get you down, doesn't it!
Okay, this one was made using a Scrapping Cottage die - Peeker Dog. Makes a really cute image, I think. Coloured him with Promarkers, and then drew a wall, and positioned him "peeking" over it. Embossed card with brick effect, and tied spotty ribbon round it. Made backing paper by stamping with paw print stamp from Dogs Biscuits, by Hunkydory, I think! Stamped sentiment onto tag, and matted everything together. Finished with circle covered with embossing powder, and a couple of tacks.

Am entering this in J & C Creations Challenge - Animal Antics.

Next, these are the cards I've made for North Devon Animal Ambulance. Don't know how they'll go, but we'll see.

The odd two are a couple I put together with scrap  paper from spraying, and a couple of  butterflies made from fibre. The writing is clearer than it looks on the photos. Okay, all for now, can't believe I'm still here. Hugs to all. X

Really sorry-again! Very poorly P.C.!

Hello all, and thank you to those who are sticking with me. Once again my pc has been playing silly devils, for the last week I've hardly been able to get onto the internet for more than a minute before it threw me out! Am working hard on getting it sorted, so thank you for bearing with me. With this in mind, I feel unable to commit to challenges at the moment, so am going to simply post all the cards I've made recently, with a bit of info. into life in general! Some of you may remember that I was trying to catch a fox cub with a poorly leg, however, didn't manage it, as unfortunately he seems to have disappeared, poor thing. Am also involved in trying to catch a bunch of semi-feral cats that live at my sons' place of work, the poor female keeps having litter after litter, and it's very hit and miss as to whether they survive or not! James and ? sorry, have now forgotten his mate's name, but they've taken 7 kittens between them in the last 12 months, so it's really time that something was done. It's taken them this long to get the "management" to agree! so - watch this space. I'll post some piccies of the kittens that James kept later. Other than that, Oscar has had chicken-pox, but is now back at nursery, and fine again. I've also been making some cards for North Devon Animal Hospital, the charity that I get involved with if I have a crisis! They are lovely, and will help any animal, no matter what. Don't know how they do it, especially with the economic situation at the moment, so have decided to do all I can. Every little helps! Have also started working with the horses, as Morgans' funny foot needs to be kept even, and for his brains sake, he needs to be kept occupied. Very difficult with this "lovely" summer that we're having, but, no excuses, get on with it. Sorry this is such a long post, but don't know when I'll get thrown out again, so making the most of it. Am now going to attempt to post some photos too! Wish me luck. I do hope no-one's having too bad a time of it with the floods etc, my homeground has had some pretty bad flooding, but seems to be okay at the moment. Back soon, I hope!! Big hugs to all. X
